There is no need to preregister; please arrive at least 30 minutes before class on the first day to allow time for paperwork. Please wear loose-fitting clothing such as a T-shirt and long sweatpants; uniforms from other martial arts are also acceptable.

The next beginners class will start on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008.

For new students, Boulder Aikikai offers a four month program with the same dan-ranked (black belt) instructor, two days per week, at reduced prices. The Beginning Series includes the following sequence of classes:

1. Beginners Class: This two month class is provided for new students without prior aikido experience. Students will leaern safe rolling and receive detailed instruction in basic aikido technique. Loose, comfortable clothing is acceptable when starting.

2. Intermediate Class: Also two months, this class is provided for students who have completed the Beginner Class. Intermediate Class expands the detailed instruction of aikido technique and principles, while increasing the intensity of training. Intermediate Class students may attend the Sunday Basics class at no additional cost. Intermediate Class students desiring more training may also enroll in other classes, but must pay regular fees and be prepared to purchase the training weapons that may be used in these classes. Note: In order to qualify for testing and rank advancement, students must have completed the Intermediate Class taught by their original instructor.

• Beginner Class (two months, Tue/Thu 6-7pm, and association fee): $125 for both months or $75 for the first month and $65 for each subsequent month

• Intermediate Class (two months, Tue/Thu 6-7pm, optional Sun 11:30am-12:45pm): $115 for both months or $65 for each month
