45TH ANNIVERSARY CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
In 2025, Boulder Aikikai will celebrate 45 years of practice. For four-and-a-half decades, Ikeda Sensei has taught the art of Aikido with a clear focus on creating an inclusive Aikido community where all are welcome. It’s a message he imbues in his students and one he has taken around the globe. Over these many years, people have come from all over the world to practice, making Boulder Aikikai the primary training space for those who want to learn and share in his vision.
The dojo has been in its current location since 1996, and the mats are showing their age. Boulder Aikikai is starting a capital campaign with a primary goal of replacing the dojo mats and repairing the sub-floor that supports them. We are so grateful to our family and friends who have been part of the dojo community, both near and far. We invite you to visit and look forward to training together, becoming part of our collective story as we move into the future. We thank you for your generous support.
Boulder Aikikai is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Our dojo is run entirely by volunteers, no one receives any compensation, including Ikeda sensei. All donations will go directly toward the dojo’s capital improvement. If you would like a receipt for your donation, please request one emailing us.
Dedicate a mat for $1000
Individuals or dojos who make a contribution of $1,000 or more can dedicate a mat. A message of your choosing will go on the back once we lay our new mats. You can submit your dedication message through GoFundMe as a comment with your contribution, or email Boulder Aikikai directly.
