 Boulder Aikikai was established by Hiroshi Ikeda in 1980 for the study of the Japanese martial art of Aikido.
The dojo is affiliated with the Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, through the Aikido Schools of Ueshiba organization.
Boulder Aikikai is a federal
non-profit educational organization and welcomes all students
who can safely participate in our programs. All of our classes are open for
free observation. |

 Boulder Aikikai offers a four month beginners class for people with no previous aikido experience, beginning in the first week of every second month (January, March, May, July, September, November). Classes meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7pm.
There is no need to preregister; please arrive at least 30 minutes before class on the first day to allow time for paperwork. Please wear loose-fitting clothing such as a T-shirt and long sweatpants; uniforms from other martial arts are also acceptable.
The next beginners class will start on Tuesday, May 6th, 2008. |

Wednesday, May 14th: 1st, 2nd Dan Tests |
 The 1st and 2nd dan tests at Boulder Aikikai will take place on
Wednesday, May 14th starting at 6pm.
As always, please be on the mat and dressed in dogi and hakama to
support those who will be testing. |

Monday, June 9th: 5th, 4th, 3rd Kyu Tests |
|
We will be conducting 5th, 4th, and 3rd kyu tests on Monday, June 9th starting at 7:00pm after a short first class. There will be no weapons class that evening. Boulder Aikikai members wishing to test, please sign-up by Monday, May 19th. Please be on the mat and dressed in dogi and hakama to support those who will be testing. |
