Boulder Aikikai was established by Hiroshi Ikeda in 1980 for the study of the Japanese martial art of Aikido. The dojo is affiliated with the Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, through the Aikido Shimbokukai. We are a federal non-profit educational organization and welcomes all students who can safely participate in our programs. All of our classes are open for free observation.

Join Ikeda sensei and Hofmeister sensei December 18–19 for a weekend winter workshop. Classes will be held in-person at the dojo for fully vaccinated people and shared online for those who would like to practice in their own dojo or home.

There are currently three types of classes being offered: virtual, outdoor weapons, and indoor practice. Find the complete schedule on our Classes page.
